Overview
Environmental Characterization/Remediation Engineer/Geologist/Scientist role based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The position involves environmental site characterization and remediation to support challenging projects for government and global private sector clients. The base pay range is $98,900.00/yr - $149,600.00/yr, with actual compensation based on skills and experience. Responsibilities
Design, perform, or oversee air, soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water investigations. Build and lead teams of colleagues and subcontractors; coordinate and manage fieldwork logistics. Analyze data and interpret results; write technical reports. Participate in meetings with clients and regulators. Develop and implement site strategies with other scientists, engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers to deliver innovative solutions for environmental remediation challenges. Ensure all projects are delivered with high safety, compliance, and quality standards. Collaborate with global Integrated Delivery teams to support project outcomes and knowledge sharing. Work from the Honolulu office with flexibility to work from home to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or a closely related field. Experience at environmental remediation sites involving contaminated media (soil, sediments, groundwater). Minimum 5 years of field work experience related to environmental remediation site investigations/characterizations and onsite construction management. Experience conducting feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, and environmental remedial designs/actions. Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues impacting environmental remediation characterization and remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, compliance, risk, stakeholder). Experience supervising project sites and overseeing subcontractors. Experience leading teams toward a common goal. 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain. Effective verbal and written communication skills with coworkers, contractors, and clients. Strong attention to detail in field work and data evaluation. Benefits
