It is a skill to be able to travel almost 100%, this job would require 4 day a week at least and whilst the projects begin on the West Coast, there may be national needs as the portfolio evolves.
Currently partnered with a leading
ESCO
helping public and private sector clients achieve their
energy efficiency, sustainability, and resilience goals .
The
Senior Project Manager (Federal ESPC) , will lead complex, multi‑million‑dollar
energy performance contracting projects
across Federal facilities nationwide. You’ll oversee project delivery from development through construction and closeout, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget performance and high customer satisfaction (including strong
CPAR ratings ).
You’ll work closely with development, engineering, and construction teams to bring innovative
energy efficiency, renewable, and infrastructure solutions
to life for mission‑critical government clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of
Federal ESPC projects , including schedule, budget, risk, and performance.
Lead client communications, status reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee site operations and ensure compliance with
Federal safety, quality, and M&V standards .
Develop and review
job cost reports, forecasts, and project financials .
Support
project development
by reviewing bid packages, subcontracts, and execution plans.
Ensure each
Energy Conservation Measure (ECM)
meets performance and energy‑savings targets.
Mentor and develop
Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and Quality Managers .
Qualifications
10+ years
of experience managing complex, multi‑discipline (MEP/energy/infrastructure) projects.
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;
PMP certification
preferred.
Experience with
Federal or government energy projects ; direct ESPC project management experience highly preferred.
Strong technical understanding of
building systems, renewable energy, and construction management .
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and teams in dynamic environments.
Willingness to travel
approximately 80%
to Federal project sites.
