We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist for the
Sr. Data Scientist
role at Themis Insight, LLC.
Location: Fort Meade, MD (may change based on client needs). Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets.
Translate mission needs into technical requirements and assist others with drawing conclusions from data.
Effectively communicate complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.
Make informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree (or associate’s with 12 years of experience) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
10 years of relevant experience designing/implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (high-level language such as Python, mid-level such as C), data mining, advanced statistical analysis, and related disciplines.
Experience in more than three skill areas is strongly preferred.
Certificate in Data Science from an accredited institution considered.
Strong foundation in advanced mathematics (e.g., linear algebra, probability, statistics) and computer science.
