Atlanta, GA or New Jersey (Hybrid – Onsite Required)
We are seeking an experienced
Automation Engineer
to support enterprise Linux infrastructure automation and
RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 migration initiatives . This role focuses on building and maintaining
Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
solutions, developing
Python-based automation , and integrating workflows with
ServiceNow
across development, testing, and production environments.
This is a hands‑on engineering role requiring strong Linux fundamentals and real-world automation experience in large‑scale environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain
Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections
Build and manage
Ansible Automation Platform (AAP/Tower) workflows
Develop
Python automation scripts and modules
for infrastructure operations
Support and automate
RHEL 7 → RHEL 8 migrations
Integrate automation workflows with
ServiceNow using REST APIs
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automation through
Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Manage code using
Git-based version control
Support automation deployment and promotion across
Dev, QA, and Production
environments
Troubleshoot and optimize Linux systems (systemd, SELinux, networking, patching)
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years
of experience in Linux / Infrastructure / Automation engineering
Strong hands‑on experience with
Ansible / Ansible Tower / Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Proficiency in
Python
for automation and API integration
Solid experience with
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7 & 8)
Experience integrating automation with
ServiceNow REST APIs
Working knowledge of
Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Experience with
Git and automation frameworks
Ability to work in a
hybrid onsite model
(Atlanta or New Jersey)
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with
RHEL migration projects
Experience with
storage or infrastructure APIs
(Pure Storage a plus)
Familiarity with
containers
(Podman or Docker)
Experience in
regulated or security‑focused environments
(FinTech preferred)
