Job Description
A leading gas turbine company is seeking a Senior Supplier Technical Engineer to join its team. This role is responsible for ensuring supplier quality and compliance with organizational standards through audits, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. The Supplier Technical Engineer acts as a key liaison between the organization and its suppliers to maintain product quality and drive continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
Review supplier-provided data against engineering drawings to ensure component quality.
Monitor supplier defect rates, generate quality reports, and guide corrective actions.
Conduct supplier audits to verify compliance with ISO, NADCAP, and internal policies.
Evaluate potential vendors, including their manufacturing practices and environments.
Support suppliers in implementing process controls and quality assurance plans.
Drive process improvements and establish controls for critical workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with metals and gears.
Strong knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
Proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Preferred Skills & Experience
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of heat treatment processes.
Pay Base pay: $120,000 - $135,000 per year. Additional compensation: 14% bonus.
