A brief overview As the HR Talent Acquisition Specialist & Project Leader, this individual will be responsible for partnering with business leaders to efficiently source well-qualified candidates and coordinate all aspects of the hiring process, engaging active recruiting strategies, developing an ongoing and diverse pipeline of qualified candidates and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for all new hires. Additionally, this individual will collaborate and drive projects both within HR and cross-functionally. This role requires a consultative approach coupled with subject matter expertise in current sourcing and selection strategies, HR operations, digitally shared services, process transformation, change management, and data / analytic based methodologies.
What you will do Talent Strategy & Workforce Alignment
Partner with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to clarify role purpose, competencies, and success profiles; advise on market realities and compensation alignment.
Translate workforce plans into prioritized requisitions, sourcing strategies, and timelines.
Provide market intelligence (supply/demand, salary trends, competitive insights) to guide hiring decisions.
Sourcing & Pipeline Development
Build and nurture pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, professional associations, campus partnerships, and community outreach.
Operationalize diversity sourcing tactics and inclusive language in all outreach and postings.
Maintain talent pools for recurring and hard‑to‑fill roles (scientific/GMP, technical, corporate).
Structured Selection & Candidate Experience
Screen candidates via structured criteria and job‑relevant assessments; ensure consistent evaluation rubrics.
Coordinate interviews (panel composition, scheduling, tools, briefing decks) and conduct debriefs to drive fair decisions.
Orchestrate clear, timely communication to candidates throughout the process.
Offer Management & Onboarding Handoff
For frontline staff positions, prepare and extend compliant offer packages; facilitate negotiations aligned to internal equity and market data.
Present verbal offers, prepare & send offer letters to selected candidates.
Compliance & Data Integrity
Ensure postings and hiring practices comply with California pay transparency, EEOC, ADA, FLSA, and immigration/I‑9 requirements.
Keep ATS/HRIS records pristine and audit-ready; maintain data privacy and retention standards.
Track and analyze TA metrics; provide weekly hiring status updates to HR team.
Project Leadership
Manage and contribute to HR projects focused on process transformation, change enablement, and digital shared services to enhance Talent Acquisition effectiveness.
Recommend and implement process improvements such as interview calibration, building professor networks, strengthening college relations, expanding internship programs, automation, and refreshing content.
Drive initiatives to improve candidate experience, leverage data analytics for recruitment insights, and collaborate with global HR teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
4+ years full‑cycle recruiting experience; proven success with structured selection and stakeholder partnership.
Proficiency with ATS/HRIS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools; strong Excel for reporting.
Working knowledge of California requirements (pay transparency, EEO/ADA, I‑9).
Excellent communication, influencing, and project coordination skills.
Preferred
Experience recruiting in pharmaceutical/biotech or GMP‑regulated environments.
Exposure to immigration processes (e.g., H‑1B/L‑1 sponsorship coordination) and global hiring considerations.
Employer branding, campus relations, or community outreach program experience.
Data fluency (pipelines, conversion rates, source effectiveness, offer acceptance).
Base salary range $73,825 - $101,510
