A company is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute underwriting strategies for Warranty Lines products to achieve profitability and growth.
Oversee the underwriting process for complex risks and monitor portfolio performance to maintain profitability.
Build and maintain relationships with brokers, MGAs, TPAs, and reinsurers to enhance market presence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Actuarial, Mathematics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designations preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on Warranty Lines Insurance.
Proven expertise in areas such as Automotive F&I, Consumer Goods, or Home Warranty.
Strong analytical skills for assessing complex risks and making data-driven decisions.
Exceptional leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams.
