Memetiq Labs is positioned at the nexus of micropayments, instant onboarding and AI-native incentives. We are building THE decentralised Payment Finance (PayFi) protocol that turns any DIGITAL ACTION into a one-click smart wallet, making it trivial for apps, brands and AI agents to pay, reward and onboard users anywhere in the world. Our passion lies in harnessing crypto and Web3 technologies to unlock new value for society, guided by a strong sense of purpose and ethics.

The Role We’re looking for a hands‑on, non‑executive board member who wants to help shape where Memetiq Labs is going — not someone who just turns up to quarterly meetings. You’ll act as an independent voice, sounding board and strategic partner to the founding team, helping us build products and a business model that are innovative, responsible and built to last.

While this is a non‑executive role, it still comes with real accountability. You’ll help us think clearly about strategy, risk and governance, and challenge us when it matters — always with the goal of making the company stronger.

Key Responsibilities Strategic input & challenge -

Bring an outside perspective to our strategy, product roadmap and growth plans. Ask the tough questions, help us pressure‑test decisions, and share what you’re seeing across crypto, fintech and consumer tech.

Governance & compliance (without the bureaucracy) - Help us stay on the right side of regulation as we operate across jurisdictions like the BVI and Switzerland. We’re not looking for box‑ticking — we want practical, sensible governance that works for both fiat and digital‑asset businesses.

Risk & performance oversight - Work with the team to think through risks early, set up sensible controls, and make sure reporting is clear and trustworthy. You’ll help ensure we’re building a resilient company, not just moving fast.

Advisory & ecosystem access - Share insights on market trends across DeFi, L1/L2s, NFTs, tokenised gaming and consumer crypto. If you’re well‑connected, even better — introductions to founders, investors or partners that could move the needle are hugely valued.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience We care more about real‑world experience and judgment than ticking every box.

Strong crypto background -

Hands‑on experience in crypto or fintech — especially in areas like GameFi, consumer crypto apps, wallets (non‑custodial or MPC), DeFi, NFTs or payments.

Comfort with regulation and governance -

You don’t need to be a lawyer, but you should be comfortable navigating financial regulation, token economics, treasury thinking and board‑level accountability.

Strategic thinker - You can connect technology trends to business outcomes, and you’re happy challenging founders (constructively) on product‑market fit and go‑to‑market choices.

Risk‑aware, not risk‑averse -

You understand how to put sensible controls in place without killing momentum, and you’ve seen what good (and bad) governance looks like in practice.

Collaborative communicator -

You’re easy to work with, clear in how you communicate, and comfortable engaging with founders, investors, regulators and technical teams.

Commitment and Compensation Expect around

1–2 days per month , with occasional extra time for deeper strategy sessions or committees.

Compensation is

USDC and tokens , aligned with long‑term value creation and consistent with how many crypto‑native boards operate.

Build at the edge of Web3 -

We’re working across decentralised gaming, consumer crypto and fintech, with plenty of room to experiment and innovate.

Flexible & global -

Remote‑first, with occasional in‑person strategy sessions in Switzerland or the BVI.
