Political Affairs Manager

Expected salary range of $124,200 to $138,000 , varies based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). Primary Purpose Of Position
The position manages Constellation’s political action committees as well as other political stakeholder relationships. The Manager, Political Affairs will report to the Senior Manager, Federal Government Affairs. The primary purpose is to grow and maintain Constellation’s Political Action Committees, develop PAC strategy, and ensure the PACs operate in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. Additionally, this position will assist with broader State Government Affairs advocacy efforts and other initiatives. This role requires an ability to identify opportunities that align business priorities with public policy goals and implement the relevant engagements by developing strategic content, overseeing logistics, and preparing materials such as briefing documents and talking points. A self‑starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required. The Manager will help drive team objectives by anticipating needs, thinking critically and creatively, and working collaboratively and cross‑functionally with internal and external resources. The ideal candidate has strong political acumen through prior experience working on campaigns and other political action committees. The position is involved in many aspects within the public policy team, including lobbying strategy, trade association participation, and outside interest groups relevant to Constellation’s political advocacy. Primary Duties And Accountabilities
Develop strategy to grow the company’s political action committees, CEPAC and CENYPAC. Execute creative education and solicitation campaigns, including events, designed to increase employee participation and awareness. Collaborate cross‑functionally to craft and execute strategies that advance the company’s public policy and advocacy initiatives. Participate in the development and implementation of all PAC budgets and expenses related to PAC operations. Manage vendor relationships assisting with the development and execution of PAC solicitations, promotional materials, and the company’s PAC match program. Manage the compliance vendor to ensure the timely filing of all state, federal and local election filings. Assist in the organization of PAC Board meetings and All Hands meeting presentations. Utilize expertise with key political fundraising stakeholders to support company efforts to grow brand awareness and positive reputation. Work closely with the federal affairs team to ensure their participation in various and appropriate political events. Develop PAC reports for internal use and run the day‑to‑day operations of all company PACs. Oversee the PAC website, ensuring content is relevant and current. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience specializing in public policy. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills to effectively represent the company with internal and external key stakeholders. Advanced interpersonal, communications and presentation skills up to corporate leadership audience. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in support of company policy objectives. Ability to communicate professionally with the public, community leaders, media and government officials. Proven ability to act as both a team player, and independently, with demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and execution. Preferred Qualifications
8‑years experience in political affairs with focus on candidate and PAC fundraising. A wide network of contacts within the business community, federal government, elected officials, and public interest groups. Seniority level
