Job Overview
RN Nurse Manager of our Labor and Delivery unit at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This is a full‑time leadership position. Join our distinguished team at a Magnet‑designated hospital dedicated to excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities Under general direction and in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act, you will provide leadership, plan, organize and supervise personnel; manage, report on and provide resources for the Labor and Delivery unit; and perform related work as required. Core duties include:
Lead an experienced group of clinicians, fostering a culture of patient‑focused, whole‑person care.
Coordinate care across the unit, including laboring patients, operating room circulation, PACU services, and high‑risk postpartum and OB triage patients.
Maintain high standards of quality delivery of care and patient safety, applying best practices in labor and delivery.
Collaborate with physicians, other department managers, and staff to ensure seamless operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
California Registered Nurse license upon hire.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
At least 4 years of supervisory experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital.
Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
