Marketing Technology Manager Join the team at Destinations International to lead and optimize our digital ecosystem. As the Marketing Technology Manager, you will manage the website, CRM and integrated marketing platforms to deliver a data‑driven, interconnected experience for members, partners and the broader community.

Position Summary As the digital product owner, you will evolve DI’s digital infrastructure, coordinate with partners, and identify emerging technologies—including AI solutions—to enhance performance, efficiency and user experience. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and provide updates on platform performance, analytics and innovation opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Serve as the digital product owner for DI website and related systems, overseeing the technical roadmap, user experience, performance and optimization to ensure the website supports organizational goals and member engagement.

Partner with the Vice President of Marketing to align digital platforms with organizational priorities and communicate progress, risks and opportunities.

Manage and maintain digital platforms (Impexium, Higher Logic, Career Center, Iconik, OpenReel, etc.) to ensure system health, functionality and integration.

Lead CRM and platform integrations to ensure seamless data flow, automation and cross‑departmental visibility.

Oversee event management technology systems—including Cvent, event microsites, attendee apps and the Attendee Hub—ensuring seamless integration, functionality and user experience across DI’s digital platforms.

Collaborate with internal teams to support event‑related digital needs and deliverables such as microsite content, mobile app updates, integration support, asset intake and post‑event workflows, ensuring all required components are completed and coordinated effectively.

Oversee the full lifecycle of event media assets—including photography, video, and b‑roll—by coordinating with internal teams and contracted vendors to plan shot lists, ensure content capture, and manage post‑event organization and upload to DI’s digital asset management (DAM) system (Iconik) for accessibility and quality control.

Stay current on innovations, updates and new features within DI’s technology ecosystem to ensure all platforms are optimized for performance and user experience; proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance data insights and improve operational efficiency across departments.

Serve as a strategic advisor to internal teams, recommending tools, automations or platform enhancements that align with evolving organizational goals.

Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager to ensure website functionality and digital platforms effectively support campaign delivery, audience engagement and overall content strategy.

Partner with external vendors (including DI’s digital agency and platform providers) to manage website enhancements, UX/UI updates, accessibility and SEO improvements and analytics support, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

Work closely with Content Marketing Manager to ensure creative assets, design systems and visual elements are seamlessly integrated and optimized across DI’s digital platforms.

Partner with the Business Insights Specialist to ensure accurate data tracking, analytics reporting and dashboard visibility.

Develop and document digital governance standards (taxonomy, metadata, accessibility compliance and content tagging).

Evaluate, implement and optimize AI and automation tools—including but not limited to DI’s chatbots and website translation platform—to improve digital workflows, accessibility and user engagement.

Ensure compliance with data privacy, accessibility (WCAG) and best digital practices.

Expected Competencies

Comprehensive understanding of website management, marketing automation and CRM systems.

Proficiency in CMS and analytics platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, GA4, Impexium, Higher Logic).

Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross‑functional digital initiatives and vendor collaborations.

Ability to translate complex digital and technical information into clear insights that inform leadership decisions.

Analytical, solutions‑oriented and proactive in identifying opportunities for digital optimization and innovation.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Desired Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems or related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing technology, website management or digital product development.

Experience working in an association, DMO/CVB or membership organization preferred.

Knowledge of web architecture, accessibility and data integration.

Web development and SEO knowledge a plus.

Familiarity with AI, automation and personalization tools preferred.
