Bankers Edge Advisory is a boutique capital markets advisory firm specializing in private credit and structured financing solutions for lower‑ and middle‑market companies. We partner with founders, CFOs, and private equity sponsors to raise capital for acquisitions, growth, refinancings, recapitalizations, and shareholder liquidity. Our team brings deep lender relationships and decades of experience structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions across industries and at every tier of the capital structure.
Role Summary We are hiring a dynamic and results‑driven
capital markets business development professional —an individual whose primary responsibility is to create and expand client relationships, identify financing opportunities, and originate strategic growth initiatives. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, cultivating long‑term partnerships, and driving revenue growth across the firm. We are looking for someone that has an ownership mentality, entrepreneurial drive, and a self‑starter mindset.
This is not an execution role. It is ideal for someone who:
Loves relationship building and deal‑making
Operates best in long‑cycle sales environments
Has a proven ability to open doors and develop trust with owners, founders, CFOs, and private equity sponsors
Has an existing book of business and the strong desire to grow their book of business within a more entrepreneurial firm
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with C‑suite executives, private equity firms, lenders, and strategic partners.
Represent Bankers Edge Advisory at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to elevate brand visibility and source new opportunities.
Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to expand the client base and deepen market coverage.
Serve as the primary point of contact during early advisory discussions, collaborating with the execution team to shape tailored capital markets solutions.
Communicate BEA’s value proposition, market insights, and advisory process with clarity and confidence.
Create and refine marketing collateral to support outreach, prospect engagement, and relationship development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
5+ years in a business development, sales, or client‑facing roles within banking, private credit or the broader institutional financial advisory ecosystem. Credit and/or equity underwriting experience a plus.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing complex transactions
Strong network of industry contacts with ability to cultivate new relationships
Deep relationships and established network across the lower middle market ecosystem.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into actionable plans
Self‑starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
