Turner & Townsend are seeking an ambitious Associate Director-Project Controls to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a proventrack recordof successful client delivery. This individual willassistin leading project controls services for major client accounts and will help with wider business initiatives if needed.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive project control strategies, processes, and procedures tooptimizeproject performance and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define projectobjectives, scope, deliverables, and KPIs. Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard project management software, considering critical path analysis, resource allocation, and dependencies. Monitor and analyze project progress against established baselines,identifyingdeviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Take proactive measures to mitigate risks and address issues promptly. Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders, providingaccurateandtimelyreports on project performance, including schedule adherence, cost variance, earned value, and risk assessment. Provide expert advice and recommendations on project control best practices, including cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management. Develop and implement change management processes to assess and manage project scope changes, ensuring proper impact analysis, approval procedures, and documentation. Assistproject teams in developing contingency plans, risk mitigation strategies, and recovery plans to address project challenges and ensure successful project outcomes. Support project managers in analyzing project data and generating reports tofacilitatedecision-making,identifytrends, and provide insights into project performance. Train and mentor project team members on project control methodologies, tools, and techniques, fostering a culture of project control excellence within the organization. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project controls, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance project management processes. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. Qualifications
US citizenshiprequired. Reside inNewYork City metropolitanarea. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,engineeringor field related to construction. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience working in a projectcontrolsrole in the construction industry. Infrastructure experience is a prerequisite, especially in the power, utilities, renewables, rail, aviation, or road sectors. Industry certifications preferred (e.g.,CPCP,PMI-CP, PMP) Proficiencyin project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Strong understanding of project control principles, methodologies, and tools, including schedule development, cost control, risk management, and performance measurement. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients. Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and compliance frameworks relevant to the project domain. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate project teams towards achieving project controlobjectives. The salary range for this full-time role is
160K-$190K
per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
