Program Overview RIVA Solutions supports the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in delivering and operating a Salesforce-based grants management and stakeholder engagement platform that enables NTIA to administer major broadband and digital equity programs.
The platform—commonly referred to as the NTIA Grants Portal (NGP)—supports end-to-end grants lifecycle management, including application intake, federal review workflows, post‑award monitoring, reporting, and external stakeholder engagement. It underpins nationwide initiatives such as Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD), Digital Equity, Middle Mile, and Tribal Broadband programs, serving state, local, and tribal partners across the United States.
RIVA’s work includes Salesforce platform operations and maintenance, environment management, security compliance, DevOps support, and continuous improvement, ensuring the platform remains secure, stable, scalable, and responsive to evolving program needs.
Position Overview RIVA Solutions is seeking a Salesforce Platform Administration / O&M Engineer to maintain the operational health, security, and availability of the NTIA Salesforce Grants Portal production environment.
This role focuses on day-to-day platform administration, environment management, monitoring, security updates, incident response, and support of Agile delivery activities. The engineer ensures system stability, performance, and compliance while supporting continuous platform enhancements and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Salesforce production environments, including configuration housekeeping, user provisioning, roles, and permission sets.
Monitor platform performance, governor limits, security events, and system availability; respond to incidents and triage issues.
Support setup, refresh, and maintenance of sandboxes, staging, and test environments for Agile delivery.
Implement Salesforce seasonal releases, security updates, and compliance requirements in coordination with security teams.
Maintain and troubleshoot third-party Salesforce applications and integrations; test updates and review security advisories.
Support deployments, environment refreshes, and DevOps processes as needed.
Assist with triage and resolution of platform issues escalated from the Help Desk, internal teams, or external users.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and environment configuration records.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, security teams, and architects to ensure platform stability and alignment with best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree (AS/AA) or equivalent professional experience, along with relevant industry certifications.
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting cloud-based platforms or environments.
Experience administering enterprise systems or SaaS platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering Salesforce in large or multi-environment orgs.
Knowledge of Salesforce configuration, security models, permission sets, and profiles.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, sandbox strategies, CI/CD tools, and Git-based version control.
Experience monitoring platform performance, governor limits, and error handling.
Understanding of third‑party application maintenance, backups, and monitoring tools.
Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams.
Salary commensurate with experience (DOE)
