Position Summary The Technology Architect, Principal serves as the
visionary architect
for the Coworker User-Technologies domain within the Digital Workplace organization. This role partners with Enterprise Architecture to define strategic direction and owns the tactical roadmaps that align technology investments with business goals and industry trends.
This leader translates Digital Workplace vision into actionable, scalable, and secure solutions by aligning architecture, funding models, governance, and program portfolios. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, trusted collaborator, and strong advocate for
digital employee experience
who can influence outcomes across complex, cross‑functional environments.
Key Responsibilities
Define and align Digital Workplace technology strategies with enterprise objectives and key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain architecture artifacts including current and future state models, standards, and reference architectures.
Partner on portfolio planning and budgeting to align with multi‑year strategic roadmaps.
Create and enforce technology standards and ensure architectural governance compliance.
Monitor industry trends and introduce innovative solutions across AI, cloud, endpoint, and collaboration technologies.
Guide solution design from concept through implementation in partnership with Enterprise Architects and Solution Engineers.
Provide technical leadership and design review support to delivery teams.
Lead change initiatives from business case development through execution.
Solve complex challenges across the Digital Workplace stack to ensure productivity, reliability, and security.
Present strategies, architectures, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Participate in architecture governance forums including review boards and communities of practice.
Manage Microsoft Enterprise Agreement contracts and associated services.
Mentor and provide strategic direction to technical teams within Digital Workplace.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in Information Technology architecture.
Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and user‑centric technology architectures.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Expertise Strategy & Architecture
Experience aligning Digital Workplace strategies with enterprise goals and long‑term roadmaps (5‑10 years).
Strong understanding of dependencies across networking, security, cloud infrastructure, and end‑user experience.
Experience leading governance, standards development, and vendor evaluations.
Technical Expertise
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, Intune, SCCM, endpoint monitoring, application packaging, and device lifecycle management.
Experience with Power Platform, scripting, automation, and AI‑driven IT solutions.
Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and modern security models.
Coworker Experience & Leadership
Strong focus on employee experience, accessibility, usability, and hybrid work.
Experience leveraging analytics, telemetry, and feedback to drive design decisions.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
