Event Manager – Santa Monica, CA We are looking for an experienced event manager to design, produce, and deliver engaging B2B events that drive remarkable customer experiences and revenue growth.

The role is based at our 2644 30th Street, Santa Monica office.

Key Responsibilities

Gain a deep understanding of the market to deliver events tailored to customer needs and expectations.

Collaborate with the VP of Events and Event Director to design events that appeal to all stakeholder groups, ensuring a clear value proposition and ROI.

Support the creation of innovative, interactive experiences while staying within budget and P&L forecasts.

Develop new ideas and agile formats to engage customers uniquely and wisely.

Interpret customer insights from data and feedback to enhance event relevance and value.

Define project scope, set goals, create detailed plans, allocate resources, and establish timelines.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and take corrective action to keep milestones on track.

Support event marketers in reviewing communications (emails, websites, press releases) to ensure messaging aligns with customer needs.

Plan and execute event floor features and activations in collaboration with Operations.

Maintain comprehensive timelines, plans, and post‑event reports, ensuring alignment across all teams.

Act as the central communication point among Sales, Operations, Marketing, Retail, and Events.

Assist the Event VP in annual financial planning and monthly forecasting, ensuring budget adherence.

Create mini‑budgets for activations, raise purchase orders, and track expenses to meet financial targets.

Serve as liaison between Event Operations and Sales to communicate bespoke event requirements and control costs.

Represent the company in the market, building strong client relationships, and driving business growth.

Qualifications

Demonstrable experience in large‑scale or B2B events and/or exhibitions, preferably with a marketing background.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meeting timelines and adapting as needed.

Strong relationship‑building skills across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience managing budgets, including mini‑budget creation, purchase orders, and expense tracking.

Excellent time‑management, organizational, and analytical skills with quick problem‑solving.

Strong communication skills, able to provide relevant feedback on marketing materials and customer communications.

Passion for creating sustainable, relevant, and exciting events that resonate with attendees and exhibitors.

Brand‑guarding ability while developing event products that align with customer needs and deliver ROI.

Excellent communicator capable of constructively challenging ideas and providing valuable input.

Strategic thinker who generates innovative ideas and executes them efficiently, focusing on profitability and customer satisfaction.

Influencer who collaborates across functions in a matrix environment.

Creative yet analytical thinker, adapting quickly to market demands and uncovering new opportunities.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Salary The salary range for this role is $65,000 – $77,000 per annum based on experience.
