Job Overview
The Junkluggers operates Remix Market, a second‑hand furniture store in Stamford, CT. The store sells gently used furniture and donates profits to local charities, supporting Megan's Way foundation which provides free electronic devices to children battling life‑threatening illnesses.
Responsibilities
Greeting and helping customers browse the furniture warehouse.
Assisting customers in moving purchased items to their vehicles.
Managing inventory and organizing items within the warehouse.
Processing payments.
Driving e‑commerce sales: manage day‑to‑day online marketplace operations, customer service, metrics, update/publish listings, and create/optimize promotions.
Responsible for photography of merchandise, staging items for best images.
Daily posting and responding on social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
Discovering new marketplaces, testing & building new accounts, and serving as project associate to ensure partnership integration.
Keeping up to date with online seller trends and mechanics.
Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.
Education & Experience
Social media content creation experience—crafting engaging narratives across posts, images, videos, and interactive media.
High School Diploma.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, competent interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate using technology.
Ability and willingness to work with a team.
Dependability and reliability are a must.
Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ease while performing job duties.
Additional Requirements
A friendly, outgoing personality is a must—comfortable making a sale without being overly “sales‑y.”
Desire to help your community through giving back.
Organized, able to manage thousands of items weekly and maintain up‑to‑date inventory.
Previous retail or sales experience is a huge plus.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a bonus.
