Senior Revenue Accountant
Our client, a rapidly growing AI-focused technology company, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its finance team.
Location San Francisco, CA. This role is on-site, Monday through Friday.
Job Description This role is critical in managing revenue recognition, cost‑of‑sales accounting, and ensuring accuracy across financial reporting. The position offers exposure to a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and the opportunity to help scale accounting operations.
Responsibilities
Execute revenue recognition workflows in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
Prepare reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, AR, unbilled AR, and accrued cost of sales.
Maintain cost‑of‑sales schedules and ensure accuracy across GL and subledgers.
Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close processes.
Perform internal controls over revenue and financial reporting; maintain documentation for audits.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (RevOps, FP&A, Legal) to ensure data integrity.
Requirements
3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and high‑growth company experience.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP).
Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment preferred.
