This role applies consultative sales and relationship management practices to generate leads and close sales of treasury management and payment solutions for new and existing clients while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The director manages sales processes, client engagement, and outcomes, monitors implementation activities to ensure alignment with timelines, and provides tailored treasury management solutions while continuously improving sales processes to enhance client experiences and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead business development efforts by building and nurturing strategic relationships with prospects and existing clients, identifying opportunities for cross‑selling treasury and cash management solutions, and leveraging professional networks to expand business reach.

Lead complex deal closures with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient execution aligned with organizational goals and compliance.

Evaluate potential vulnerabilities and manage risks within client portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while aligning service levels with business objectives.

Oversee client implementation activities to ensure timely delivery, providing actionable feedback for internal process refinement and improved client experiences.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert, delivering innovative treasury solutions to enhance client and internal operational efficiency.

Represents the organization at industry forums and community events, utilizing market insights and trends to reinforce the bank’s brand and identify new business opportunities.

Execute on strategic initiatives by coordinating cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, operational excellence, and market‑leading practices.

Coordinate the management of databases and ensure alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.

Champion process optimization by spearheading large‑scale workflow improvements and integrating best practices across treasury and payment operations to enhance operational efficiency.

Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with the bank’s high‑value and strategic clients, providing strategic advice on financial solutions and ensuring exceptional service and partnership.

Analyze client and industry data to inform customized client solution strategies that include optimizing management of working capital.

Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to define products, solutions and strategies that best fit clients’ needs.

Build advocacy and adoption of the suite of industry‑leading NA TPS digital products & solutions.

Support implementation activities, including documentation, pricing, and project timelines ensuring timely delivery and continuous process improvements.

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and compliance, mitigating risk and maintaining service standards.

Operate at a group/enterprise‑wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Apply expertise and think creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non‑routine.

Implement changes in response to shifting trends.

Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience in sales and treasury management, financial operations or risk management in a corporate or banking environment (preferred).

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred; business administration, finance, or accounting preferred; any related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.

Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

Salary $112,200.00 – $209,000.00 (Salaried).

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
