ROLE MISSION
The Cooper family, the country’s oldest producer of cordials, has a long history creating premium liqueurs, including Domaine de Canton, St. Germain, and Chambord. The newest addition to this portfolio of category defining French liqueurs, Juliette Peche de Vigne, is the world’s only artisanal, ultra-premium peach liqueur handcrafted near Bordeaux in Southwestern France. In support, brand specialists will be placed in key US markets. Brand Specialists are entrepreneurial-minded, yet business-savvy beverage professionals who are versed in luxury. Our mission is to help spread the word, raise awareness, gain POD’s/menu placements, drive volume and amplify the brand’s activity in a sustainable manner.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Brand Activator position is a part‑time sales and marketing role responsible for building our brand in the on‑premise. The position requires the ability to influence key decision makers and gain brand loyalty amongst the bartending community. The Brand Specialist is responsible for the following:
Leveraging on‑trade relationships to gain PODs
Directly engage with accounts to drive case volume and reorders
Engage with local distributor partner to support market activity
Raise awareness within strategic target group
Be the local voice to drive conversation around the brand
Create opportunity for consideration and trial
Deliver brand message
Support local commercial team/distributor partners
Support National Brand Advocate/Ambassador
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Call on on‑premise accounts within the assigned territory to sell in initial distribution and develop strong working relationships that generate reorders and case volume
Serve as the primary contact for the distributor sales teams to ensure they are informed of local and national objectives and programs
Work with VP- Brand Director and local sales teams to develop target on‑premise account lists
Amplify brand/brand activity across social channels (Instagram/Facebook)
Actively participate in brand promotions, tastings and events, which often occur in the evenings or on weekends, at least once per week
Provide monthly market and competitive brand reports to supervisor to include key success stories, competitive activities, market trends, distributor feedback and key lessons learned
Maintain calendar of market activities and promotions to ensure effective utilization of brand building activities.
Track, measure and report on results and budgets on a weekly basis
Complete special projects as needed
Prior experience working with luxury brands is a must for this position.
Strong local market knowledge
Existing relationships with key on‑premise accounts
Ability to work independently and to plan their own time and activities
Comfort working on a high‑performance, fast‑paced entrepreneurial team
Detail oriented, highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Willingness to work non‑traditional hours
Customer driven and consumer focused
Comfortable with cold calling on accounts to sell in distribution and programming
Past experience working with a major distributor in the market
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and partner with customers and co‑workers
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Ability to understand, manage and responsibly track assigned budgets
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and web‑based reporting tools
Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner at all times
Clean driving record and good credit history
Must be able to provide own transportation to and from accounts and events
