Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end backend infrastructure, including distributed data stores, data processing pipelines, and high‑performance front‑end servers.
Ship code multiple times a while owning testing, automation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of features and products.
Analyze systems, infrastructure, and tooling to optimize for better performance.
Process terabytes of data received by servers to better understand users, system requirements and capabilities, and design solutions to increase platform efficiency.
Participate in a technical excellence culture through state‑of‑the‑art tools, risk‑driven testing, explainable systems, and code review.
Become an authority in Clojure, Go, and other cutting‑edge open‑source technologies that maximize development velocity and business revenue.
Work as part of the technical team to deliver on software projects using proven development processes (Agile/SCRUM).
Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of predictive, high‑performance marketing software.
Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with stakeholders on requirements and deliverables in agile methodology for frequent releases.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or related backend infrastructure role. If no bachelor’s, Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience may be accepted.
3 years of professional experience in software programming (clean, efficient, and scalable) using Golang, Java, C#, or Python.
3 years of professional experience designing and implementing highly scalable and distributed systems.
3 years of professional experience working within a highly agile and intensely iterative software development process, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
3 years of professional experience designing and developing web applications.
1 year of professional experience utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases, performing database design, optimization, and management to support large‑scale applications.
