Responsibilities

Responsible primarily for daily hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members, direct supervision of restaurant team members and delivery drivers, and supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that the team delivers required tasks with the highest quality and standards.

Manage shift operations and adhere to all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems.

Provide quality products to customers by building a system of quality with team members, ensuring each delivered product meets Papa John’s standards and accurately reflects the customer’s order.

Ensure food safety certifications are up to date for all team members and manage Company assets, keeping the restaurant clean and meeting safety and security standards at all times.

Supervise work activities of all non-exempt restaurant team members, including shift leaders, in-store team members, and delivery drivers during assigned work schedules.

In the absence of the General Manager, responsible for all functions of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service.

Actively recruit customer-focused team members, maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales, orient and train team members to exceed customer expectations, ensure shift compliance with uniform and appearance standards, and communicate performance expectations to direct reports.

Contribute to the achievement of sales goals by providing prompt and friendly customer service through team member training on products and sales execution.

Execute shift-level financial controls and cash management responsibilities, and resolve unfavorable trends to enhance restaurant profits.

Qualifications

Effective and candid communication skills.

Strong problem‑solving ability using logical solutions.

Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills with proven customer service experience as a manager.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering results and contributing to team goals.

Dependability and reliability, task‑oriented, with follow‑through on commitments and timely delivery on projects.

Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks, respond positively to changes in direction and priorities, and accept new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.

Successful restaurant management or supervision experience preferred.

High school diploma (or equivalent) required.

Serv‑Safe/Local/State Food Service Certification.

Cash management skills.

English proficiency; bilingual in certain markets a plus.

Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, satisfactory vehicle, and ability to drive where the team member works.

Familiarity with restaurant management software such as POS, ATS, and web‑based scheduling preferred.
