Job Description Job Summary The primary role of the

Senior Software Engineer

is to design and develop modern, high-performance web applications that support mission-critical systems. This role focuses on building scalable frontend and backend solutions, visualizing large-scale datasets, and improving user experience in complex operational environments. You’ll work across the full stack in an Agile team, collaborating with end users and stakeholders to deliver reliable, impactful software.

Position Responsibilities

Build high-performance, scalable web-based visualization interfaces using React and JavaScript

Design and maintain backend microservices and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js

Translate wireframes, mockups, and user stories into clean, reusable, and accessible frontend code

Implement accessibility best practices in alignment with Section 508 and WCAG standards

Debug UI/UX issues and optimize frontend and application performance

Collaborate closely with end users to gather feedback and improve product functionality

Use GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile project workflows

Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Minimum of 12 years of experience.

Demonstrated experience developing frontend applications using ReactJS

Experience building or supporting graph visualization tools handling large datasets

Hands‑on experience with automated JavaScript testing frameworks such as eslint and jest

Strong backend development experience using Node.js and RESTful APIs

Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD workflows and Agile or Scrum development methodologies

Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Experience serving as a Scrum Lead or contributing within SAFe environments

Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and packages such as babel, nwsapi, winston, graphology, ag‑grid, and sigma

Experience authoring technical documentation and system overviews

Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers or lead small development teams

Salary Range $180,000 – $200,000
