Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor. In this role, the successful candidate will coordinate and manage activities and programs designed to increase community members and patients access to healthy foods. This will include supervising the Table Project Facilitator, managing grants that support food initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies (including health and safety), overseeing projects that address food insecurity, and coordinating the Sunset Park Community Coalition in its mission and goals to address food insecurity in the community.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the operations of The Table food pantry including inventory, health and safety regulations, compliance, ordering and arranging for delivery of supplies, tracking of expenses, and monitoring equitable access for the pantry.

Provide grant‑writing support on applications related to food insecurity initiatives.

Ensure that grant deliverables are met and ensure financial accountability for grants.

Promote a positive environment for pantry clients and ensure client satisfaction.

Review pantry data for continuous quality improvement.

Convene and organize Sunset Park Community Coalition meetings and collaborate with partners to develop mission, set goals, and provide support to partners in tracking progress towards meeting goals.

Co‑manage the Sunset Park Community Coalition pooled fund collaboratively with the VP of Community Programs and CBO representative, including accepting applications, documenting requests and the disbursement of funds, and monitoring fund balance.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders involved in addressing food insecurity.

Supervise the Project Facilitator and provide ongoing guidance and programmatic support.

Ensure that The Table participants are connected to Family Support Services.

Work with leadership and grant‑writing staff to complete reports requested by funders.

Collaborate with community partners to ensure the integration of Food Corps members into each placement site.

Manage the Plentiful database including requests for client and programmatic data.

Assist in coordinating special outreach events or healthy eating initiatives.

Stay up to date on best practices, policies, and legislation related to food insecurity and food access.

Provide oversight to the implementation of 1115 Medicaid Waiver activities as it pertains to Food Insecurity and Nutrition Education.

Work collaboratively with FSS leadership and FHC clinical teams in the implementation of various Food Is Medicine initiatives including the distribution of healthy food, nutrition education, and cooking demonstrations.

Build capacity of the Table Pantry through volunteer recruitment and supervision and identification of food rescue opportunities in the community.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

2 years of related work experience in public health and/or social services with a focus on food insecurity.

Preferred Qualifications

MA Degree in Social Work or Public Health or related field.

Some supervisory experience and program development.

Bilingual in Mandarin or Spanish.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 – $64,350.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
