Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking a strategic, mission-driven
Chief Financial Officer
to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Executive Director and Board to guide the financial health, sustainability, and growth of one of Vermont’s designated agencies—serving more than
3,400 individuals annually
across the Northeast Kingdom.
Why this role matters: The CFO oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, audits, compliance, and long-term financial planning, while helping shape the future of programs that have a meaningful impact on our communities.
What we’re looking for:
8–10 years of senior-level financial leadership experience
Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Finance, or Accounting)
Strong strategic, analytical, and people leadership skills
Experience working in complex funding and regulatory environments
