Quantitative, Data & Risk Analytics - Recruitment Specialist
Our client is seeking a Lead Risk Analyst to lead credit strategy initiatives that drive healthy growth and profitability across their online and branch networks. You will partner with senior leadership to develop, test, and optimize underwriting strategies - including approvals, line assignments, and pricing and ensure alignment with our risk appetite and funding goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain credit risk, response, and behavior models using SAS, SQL, Python, R, and advanced statistical techniques.
Evaluate and optimize approval and advance strategies across acquisition and marketing channels.
Maintain documentation of underwriting strategies and report performance impacts to leadership.
Monitor portfolio performance to ensure adherence to risk appetite and lifetime return expectations.
Produce risk reports by compiling, analyzing, and presenting key data trends.
Represent Risk in cross-functional initiatives and lead assigned projects, guiding team members as needed.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of credit risk management experience, including at least 1 year in digital/online customer acquisition or underwriting strategy.
Experience in consumer lending and understanding of related regulations and policies.
Advanced proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.
Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivots, macros).
Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex analyses.
