Key Job Responsibilities
Work with engineering teams, flight testing, fulfillment center delivery operations, program managers, and supply chain teams to execute in-service quality goals.
Collaborate with Flight Standards & Publications team on review and approval of flight operations manuals and checklists.
Ensure compliance with drone delivery & maintenance operations by overseeing the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) program in accordance with 14 CFR Part 135.
Continuously monitor and analyze operational data to report metrics in dashboard formats.
Drive root cause investigation using statistical analysis and tools (8D, RCA, CAPA, COE) to resolve quality & compliance issues.
Report daily commercial operations quality, compliance, and technical publication activity stemming from in-service fleet operations.
Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards across all operational sites.
Conduct audits and interface with FAA inspectors to support FAA audits.
Report findings and close audit gaps in a timely fashion with cross‑functional teams.
Report In‑Service Quality team progress in WBR, MBR, QBR forums.
Day in the Life You will work closely with delivery operations and engineering teams on reporting and resolving quality & compliance issues. This role also involves conducting operations audits and reporting findings. The role requires on‑call shifts and rotations supporting extended hours of delivery operations.
About the Team The In‑Service Quality (ISQ) team supports drone delivery operations supporting Amazon’s customer deliveries within 60 minutes. ISQ ensures all regulatory and compliance requirements from FAA, DOT, and other bodies are met. The team also resolves engineering quality issues by working with cross‑functional teams.
Basic Qualifications
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects, or creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
Experience in compliance, audit or risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
Experience with project management of technical projects.
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
