Are you ready to lead programs that protect public health and preserve our natural environment? Join our team in a leadership role where your expertise in mosquito control, aquatic weed management, and biological monitoring directly enhances quality of life across our community. In this dynamic position, you’ll oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of comprehensive mosquito and aquatic plant control programs—balancing science, strategy, and service to keep our county safe and livable.

As a supervisor and technical expert, you’ll guide a dedicated team responsible for larvicide, adulticide, entomological surveys, and routine monitoring of breeding sites. You’ll help shape daily operations while mentoring staff, setting performance goals, promoting safety, and fostering professional growth. Your work will also influence the bigger picture as you contribute to policy development, budget planning, and program evaluation to ensure effective, compliant, and forward‑thinking operations.

This role blends field science with leadership and public service. You’ll oversee mosquito‑borne disease surveillance, biological testing, and resistance monitoring, analyze and report data, and ensure the secure management of pesticides and equipment. You’ll also collaborate with local, state, and federal partners, coordinate state‑approved tracking systems, and help develop long‑term strategies alongside the Public Works Director.

Beyond operations, you’ll be a trusted public resource—investigating citizen concerns, educating residents and community groups, working with the media, and providing clear, knowledgeable guidance on mosquito and aquatic weed issues. Whether conducting aerial or ground inspections, managing inventories, or communicating with vendors and stakeholders, your work will have a direct, visible impact.
