Futures OTC Clearing VP – Barclays

As a Futures OTC Clearing VP, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our clearing processes.

You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to complete client documentation, coordinate functions, and provide legal and compliance oversight on regulatory and market structure development.

You will also collaborate with product and platform teams on Barclays’ capabilities in the clear derivatives space, while driving and maintaining our commitment to remarkable client service. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and enhance clearing processes for futures, derivatives, and FX prime brokerage. Work closely with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to complete client documentation. Coordinate functions, legal and compliance oversight on regulatory and market structure development. Collaborate with product and platform teams to strengthen Barclays’ capabilities in the derivatives space. Essential Qualifications

Experience with US rules and regulation that relates to futures, derivatives, and FX prime brokerage. Knowledge of legal documentation governing futures, derivatives, and FX prime brokerage. Comprehensive understanding of products, trading mechanics, and life cycle events. Highly Valued Skills

Knowledge of UK and EU regulations and products. Fixed income, prime brokerage, and US treasury market structure expertise. Client onboarding processes experience. Accountabilities

Work with clients to optimise Liquid Financing relationships. Provide best‑in‑class service and escalation oversight. Serve as primary contact for Liquid Financing clients in areas such as trading, risk, billing and reporting. Provide expertise on industry and regulatory initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert for clients, with a deep understanding of each client’s business mix, operational requirements and product sensitivities. Vice President Expectations

Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business‑aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In‑depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions. Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem‑solving processes. Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes. This role is located in New York. This role is regulated by FINRA. This role is deemed a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal company benchmarks. Minimum Salary: $150,000 Maximum Salary: $225,000 Base salary only; does not include any other type of compensation or benefits.
