SampleCSI , a spinoff adapting our environmental sampling technology for crime scene investigation (CSI). Like environmental sampling, CSI requires precise evidence collection, chain‑of‑custody tracking, and documentation. With our platform 80‑85% already aligned, SampleCSI will address law enforcement’s unique needs.

Role Summary
We seek a CEO and CTO to lead the development of SampleCSI, tailoring SampleServe’s technology for CSI evidence collection and management. The ideal candidate blends law‑enforcement experience (direct or indirect) with software product management or development expertise to deliver a platform for law‑enforcement agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy:
Define the SampleCSI roadmap, aligning with CSI needs for evidence logging, chain‑of‑custody, and case management.
Market Adaptation:
Adapt SampleServe’s features (e.g., GPS mapping, QR‑coded labels) for CSI, supporting evidence types and legal requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with law enforcement, forensic labs, and internal teams to gather requirements and ensure compliance.
Feature Oversight:
Manage development of features like real‑time evidence logging, digital chain‑of‑custody, and court‑ready reports.
Project Management:
Lead teams to deliver within 6‑9 months, managing timelines and quality.
User Experience:
Ensure intuitive mobile and web interfaces for field and office use.
Training:
Develop materials to support adoption by police and forensic teams.
Qualifications
Experience:
3+ years in software product/project management or development, delivering SaaS products.
Law enforcement background (e.g., officer, forensic tech, or agency consultant) with CSI process knowledge.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with agile tools (e.g., Jira) and app development (e.g., React, Python).
Basic understanding of APIs and mapping libraries.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Criminal Justice, related field or equivalent experience. PMP or CSI certifications a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with compliant platforms (e.g., CJIS).
Knowledge of environmental sampling/evidence collection processes.
