Position Overview Lead daily operations for OFC Creations Café, blending traditional café management with catering oversight, event food service, and production-driven operations. The role requires a hands‑on leader who can quickly learn all aspects of café and theater operations and thrives in an environment where guest experience, timing, and presentation are critical. Hourly rate: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities Café Operations & Staff Leadership
Lead, train, schedule, and supervise café staff while maintaining high service and hospitality standards.
Oversee daily café operations including opening/closing procedures, guest experience, product quality, and facility appearance.
Manage multiple cash banks, drawer accuracy, change requirements, and shortage resolution.
Maintain inventory levels, place orders, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations.
Catering, Menu Development & Event Food Service
Create, update, and execute catering menus for private rentals and special events.
Assess and revise existing menus to align with operational capabilities and guest expectations.
Customize catering offerings as needed and ensure consistent, high‑quality presentation.
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Patron Services Manager on catering for private rentals, group sales, and specialty performances.
Develop and adjust food and beverage menus, including pricing, seasonal offerings, and new items.
Event Support, House Management & Offsite Concessions
Provide concessions and catering for in‑house performances, special events, opening nights, and media days.
Serve as the onsite café manager during performances, overseeing patron flow and addressing guest concerns.
Learn and operate the box office system to support ticket sales; the café functions as the in‑person box office during scheduled seasons.
Support offsite concessions at partner venues including Kodak Center, schools, and other performance sites.
Maintenance & Facility Oversight
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of café‑adjacent spaces including Studio B, rehearsal areas, hallways, and exterior walkways in all weather conditions.
Coordinate servicing and routine maintenance of café equipment to ensure reliable operation.
Hiring, Recruiting & Staff Development
Lead recruiting efforts for café roles, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding.
Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and shift leadership to build a positive, accountable team culture.
Camps & Seasonal Meal Service
Oversee daily hot lunch service for summer camps, coordinating preparation and delivery of up to 75 meals per day.
Manage weekly smoothie days and snack shack operations for Kodak camps, including transporting supplies and maintaining inventory.
Qualifications
Prior leadership experience in a café, restaurant, catering, or hospitality setting.
Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
Experience operating a POS system and managing cash‑handling procedures.
Flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and event‑driven shifts.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–40 lbs.
Reliable transportation.
