Responsibilities
Coordinate unit staffing and lead the clinical team to achieve quality patient care.
Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during shifts.
Perform performance evaluations of staff.
Assess daily patient care needs and develop patient care assignments.
Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting outcomes.
Respond to patient care complaints through established channels.
Provide input for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating staff.
Requirements
BLS Provider certification obtained within one month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
Registered Nurse credential from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire.
Required professional licensure/certification and one year of cumulative job‑specific experience.
Minimum of one year charge nurse experience in endoscopy; 1‑2 years direct endoscopy nursing experience preferred; PACU and Pre‑op experience a plus.
