Job Title: Packaging Quality Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Packaging Quality Lead to oversee the quality assurance processes in a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of production and ensuring compliance with industry regulations, especially during peak production periods.
Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of quality assurance personnel in a food manufacturing setting.
Train employees on quality standards, SOPs, and continuous improvement practices.
Implement and monitor quality standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Oversee the operation of production lines, ensuring products meet quality specifications.
Develop and maintain schedules that align with production needs and company goals.
Ensure adherence to SQF and HACCP standards to maintain food safety.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
Essential Skills
5+ years of supervisory experience within a food manufacturing facility.
Proven experience in training employees on quality standards and procedures.
Strong background in implementing and following SOPs and GMPs.
Proficiency with Microsoft programs.
Experience with continuous improvement processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
SQF and HACCP certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with OSHA standards.
Experience with quality control and packaging processes.
Work Environment The role is based in a bustling food manufacturing facility with multiple production lines. Each line caters to different products depending on daily order demands in a bakery environment. The facility is equipped with large mixers and ovens, and requires meticulous sanitation procedures, including machinery disassembly and hand washing. The work schedule is from 11:30 PM to 8 AM, Sunday through Friday, with Saturday and one other day off. Flexibility is required to meet production needs, especially during the busy holiday season. Pay And Benefits Pay range: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year. This is a direct placement opportunity. Benefits will be provided upon start or if candidate requests prior to hire.
