Job Description As a Deputy Manager for Procurement, you will manage day‑to‑day transactional suppliers and oversee the procurement process and team, ensuring best practices are followed.
You will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day transactional needs for the US supplier base, working closely with the Procurement Manager and Head of Finance to maintain high‑standard routine operations. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop processes that support supplier performance monitoring.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the company’s hybrid work‑from‑home policy.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in a procurement function.
Experience in supplier management and negotiations.
CIPS qualified at level 4+ or equivalent experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of procurement principles.
Experience in benchmarking and negotiating VFM.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to supervise and develop team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint.
Additional Information
Facilitating supplier reviews and ensuring best available service.
Reviewing and re‑negotiating existing catalogue prices quarterly.
Initiating local benchmarking activity and sourcing alternatives.
Hiring, developing, and managing the performance of local Procurement Administrators.
Supporting management with the roll‑out of new processes.
Ensuring all supplier performance issues are logged and escalated.
Providing reports and feedback to the Procurement Manager.
