Summary The Manager Solutions Design is responsible for supporting the growth of Ryder’s Supply Chain offerings by helping to win new business through a series of activities that include:
Demonstrating an understanding of our Customer’s business.
Designing and producing content that illustrates financial value to our Customers.
Assisting the pursuit team with shaping win plans that are consistent with our solution design.
Managing the Solutions Design process and the associated internal and external SMEs, holding them accountable to overall project expectations and timelines.
Creating content that aligns with Ryder’s operational & technical capabilities.
Writing and delivering a compelling proposal and presentations that influence customer decision to select Ryder.
Essential Functions
Project Management – manage cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment of solution development with win strategy; create and manage project milestones, schedules, and lead team calls; maintain effective communication across all team members.
Meet frequently with customers and cross‑functional bid response team; support technical review presentations and design validation meetings.
Develop Proposal – write compelling customer stories that clearly articulate value propositions, Ryder’s differentiated value, and proposed solution; author content and collaborate with the Sales Lead to develop the final proposal.
Collaborate with Sales leaders to develop win strategy (e.g., research industry and customer to understand pain points; understand competitive landscape; conduct stakeholder analysis).
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex designs, concepts, and regulations into terms readily understood.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to influence project teams using facts, statistics, and analytics.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus.
Proven experience in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to develop content and presentations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Journalism.
Five (5) years or more in a similar role coordinating activities across functional teams, producing proposals and/or presentations to support professional sales organizations.
Experience within a Third Party Logistics (3PL) organization is a plus.
Project Management experience is a plus.
