We are currently searching for Upper School Computer Science Teachers for our Summer Program!
(Rate is dependent upon sessions worked, subject to change due to enrollment changes)
Must be available to work the following dates:
Training Dates: June 11th - 12th
Course Dates: June 15 - July 24th
Summer programs at Harker offer a diverse range of academic and recreational activities. We offer an academically focused TK-5 Summer Camp, the Summer Institute for Middle and High School-aged students, and our English Language Institute for international students. Our summer programs reflect our commitment to providing Bay Area children with a dynamic and exciting educational experience.
Additional details:
The curriculum and lesson plans are prepared and ready in a binder for the teacher.
Teaching Assistants do all of the grading and help with the discussion, exploration-style learning environment.
Position Summary Plan and implement academic instruction that contributes to the Summer Institute goals and individual student development. In addition, the teacher shall be responsible for maintaining the physical and emotional safety of the students.
Qualifications
Minimum - Bachelor's degree
Must have a valid teaching credential, a graduate degree in education, and/or prior teaching experience
Ability to create and communicate well-organized, meaningful, and creative lesson plans that incorporate teaching strategies in a thoughtful manner to further and maximize student learning
Demonstrated collaboration, collegiality and organization
