Position HDR is seeking a talented
Resources Business Group Manager
to lead our Hawaii practice. The Resources Business Group provides broad engineering, planning, design, strategic communications, and environmental services in addition to a variety of other project and programmatic services to a diverse and established client base across the State of Hawaii and Guam.
Through our professional staff, the Resources Business Group at HDR provides expert consulting services for the power (delivery, distribution, generation, hydropower), industrial, and waste/recycling markets. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies with the objective of growing our business and continuing to diversify our client base.
Responsibilities
Lead strategic client and project pursuits.
Manage projects and provide technical services.
Staff administration, liaison with marketing support services, contract reviews.
Oversee quality of deliverables, supervise, and mentor staff.
Coordinate working sessions sharing with staff on the Continental United States.
Prepare annual revenue forecasts and budgets, monitor performance of the business group.
Sell and win projects that match the expertise and developmental goals of the staff.
Report to the Area Manager and work cooperatively with the Regional Resources Business Group Director, National Directors, and other business lines in the company.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience, including strong leadership experience in providing consulting services (engineering, environmental, or regulatory) for complex projects.
Specific knowledge of the Hawaii market is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead client teams in support of client development and project execution.
Demonstrated experience in organizational development, building and nurturing team structure for program growth and resiliency.
Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams in an inclusive and proactive manner in executing high quality and timely work for clients.
Committed to quality, process improvements, and upholding HDR values.
Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group managers, technical directors, and marketing managers.
NAVFAC Program and Project Management experience.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
A minimum of 10 years experience.
Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand.
Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managers.
