Enterprise Technical Account Executive
Salesforce, the #1 AI CRM, invites candidates to join its Enterprise Business team—where technology meets strategy to drive transformative outcomes for our most complex customers (10,000+ employees). This role blends deep technical acumen with executive‑level sales skills to close high‑value deals across our Customer 360 platform, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Slack, and core clouds.
Role Summary As a technically fluent Account Executive, you will act as a trusted advisor from the first meeting, demonstrating product architecture, guiding discovery, and shaping the value narrative for senior technical and business stakeholders. You will own the full sales cycle—from account strategy to closing—while leveraging your solution‑architecture background to reduce reliance on pre‑sales resources.
Key Responsibilities
Lead early‑stage technical discussions, confidently explaining AI models and emerging technologies to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Serve as the "Chief Architect" of the deal, providing a foundational understanding of how Salesforce products integrate to deliver strategic business outcomes.
Conduct early‑stage product overviews, articulate technical roadmaps, and answer complex solution‑based questions during discovery and qualification phases.
Translate complex concepts into clear, accurate narratives for business stakeholders.
Employ a consultative, challenger approach to diagnose business challenges and articulate the technical "how" while focusing on value realization.
Articulate the Salesforce advantage and competitive differentiation across functionality and platform benefits.
Develop and drive the long‑term account strategy, focusing on platform adoption and alignment to complex customer goals.
Build trusted relationships with C‑suite executives (CTOs, Enterprise Architects) through exceptional communication and executive presence.
Cowork across matrixed functions, coordinating all internal resources to close deals.
Required Qualifications
Experience managing a large key account or complex territory with a focus on expansion and platform consolidation.
Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding annual quotas.
3‑5 years in enterprise sales of heavily complex, multi‑product SaaS/Cloud solutions.
Deep technical acumen and rapid learning ability gained from roles such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Platform Specialist.
Product knowledge that builds instant credibility with technical buyers, with strong problem‑solving skills to map solutions directly to customer challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional ability to discover and communicate complex concepts simply, building stronger trust and higher sales impact.
Proficiency in explaining complex technical models and architectural blueprints to both non‑technical executives and technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with Salesforce products (AI/Data Cloud, Platform, Integration/MuleSoft) or equivalent experience with competing enterprise platforms.
