The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is seeking a
Vice President of Finance & Controller
to join our Finance Team. The candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the financial activities of The Associated as well as operating programs and certain constituent agencies. In this role, you will manage 4 direct reports. Successful duties include budget preparation, audit and tax preparation and a wide variety of other financial reporting duties.
In this highly collaborative role, you will use your finance expertise and be responsible for:
Oversee the finance department's day-to-day functions, including accurate accounting and the maintenance of internal controls to ensure the protection of the organizational assets.
Lead end-to-end finance operations: taxation, accounts payable/receivable, audits, and compliances.
Generate quarterly financial statements for finance committee and banks. Responsible for monthly and annual financial reporting.
Prepare the annual budget for all operations.
Coordinate all external audit activity and tax filings.
Oversee all functions above for 8 operating programs and 5 agencies.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
More than 8 years work related experience
5-8 years of supervisory experience
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and the ability to learn new technologies with finance
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus as is experience in Intacct
Ability to exercise discretion and a very high level of confidentiality with sensitive information is required to be successful in this position
Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities is required
Ability to participate and collaborate in a team setting is required
Compensation Starting salary: $160,000; salary commensurate with experience.
