Senior Account Manager – Technology
Join Lockton as a Senior Account Manager in the Technology practice. You will be a primary business contact for Clients, applying deep industry knowledge and regulatory insight while servicing Client accounts innovatively and efficiently. Your role focuses on delivering the highest level of customer service by exceeding industry standards. Responsibilities
Oversee the servicing of a designated book of business related to marketing, claims, and administration. Research issues’ root causes, implement solutions, and resolve policy‑related issues. Recommend potential enhancements or improvements to processes, products, and/or policies. Use discretion and independent judgment when analyzing industry trends and providing related Client guidance. Develop financial models and reports for Clients and senior staff, interpreting analysis implications and providing recommendations. Provide strategic planning and consultative advice to clients, including producing, analyzing, and recommending coverage plan changes. Engage in Client strategy meetings to manage insured expectations for upcoming terms. Present coverage plans and renewal terms to Clients. Assess and interpret exposure information from Clients. Analyze quotes from carriers to determine appropriate recommendations. Interpret and evaluate policy terms to ensure adequate coverage for Client exposures. Participate in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes. Collaborate with senior staff in selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes. Review new business opportunity information and provide related recommendations to Unit Manager/Account Executive. Establish and maintain relationships and interfaces with Clients, carriers, and other vendors. Research and understand industry trends and government regulations. Mentor and train junior‑level staff. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience. Typically, three or more years of Client services experience is required. Demonstrates strong working knowledge and experience within the brokerage/commercial insurance industry. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong attention to detail required. Understands industry trends and governmental regulations. Ability to attend industry training sessions. Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed. Organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time‑sensitive deadlines. Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information. Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner. Ability to work outside of regular business hours. Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and be away from home more than one day and night. Legally able to work in the United States.
