Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr
As the Controller
for a growing company in the component manufacturing industry, you will drive financial clarity and operational excellence by managing all accounting functions, building forecasts, and providing leadership with strategic financial insight.

Detail-Oriented and Precise . You carefully review financial records, reconcile AR/AP, monitor inventory write-offs, and analyze job variances—identifying discrepancies early and maintaining clean, audit-ready records so reporting and forecasts remain reliable for leadership.

Education, Skills & Experience
At least 5+ years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role within manufacturing or a related industry.
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and financial modeling.
Experience with enterprise ERP systems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management.
Proven experience managing multi-function accounting operations with accuracy and compliance.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and executive communication skills.
Deep knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Working Environment & Compensation Compensation:
$150,000–$200,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

Essentials Within the first 30–60 days
Train with the current fractional finance team on payroll, AR/AP, ERP systems, and compliance processes while meeting cross-department teams and tax consultants to understand workflows and review historical financials for performance gaps.
Assume core day-to-day accounting duties including RMAs, payroll support, compliance tasks, job costing, fixed assets, and banking workflows to build accurate, audit-ready operations.
Learn month-end close processes, review management reporting, and begin transitioning outsourced work in-house in partnership with leadership.
Execute a phased finance insourcing plan and prioritize process improvements aligned with executive goals.
Begin developing reporting and metrics to inform executive decision-making and growth planning.
3–4 months and ongoing
Build financial dashboards, improve accounting processes, ensure compliant tax filings, and deliver insights on ROI, make‑or‑buy decisions, and acquisition opportunities.
Drive process improvements, support operations teams, and ensure accurate accounting treatment for leasehold improvements and capitalized costs.
Develop inventory strategies to manage obsolete stock and identify R&D tax credit optimization opportunities.
6–12 months and ongoing
Independently manage finance operations, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and improve cash visibility.
Participate in leadership planning and strategy discussions.
Track KPIs and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
