Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $129,000.00/yr.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge: Engineering, ICC registration desired.
Strong electrical engineering design experience mandatory.
3‑5 years electrical commercial design experience.
Strong PC skills: Revit, BIM, Autocad, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project Management software.
General knowledge of architectural, electrical and fire protection design.
Peer electrical plan review for code compliance of construction documents.
Skills and Abilities
Independent, self‑starter able to take limited direction on a project; extremely well organized and detail‑oriented; capable of independent follow‑through.
Work well under pressure with diplomacy and tact.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, professional and polished demeanor; strong commitment to mission, goals, and values of agency.
Strong knowledge of Electrical Codes (NEC, ICC, DC, Maryland and Virginia supplements).
Excellent mathematical, IT and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Other Responsibilities Assisting in electrical engineering design for a variety of commercial, institutional and residential projects. Performing electrical plan review of projects. Performing electrical inspections on commercial, institutional and residential projects. Utilizing teamwork and communication skills to facilitate proper collaboration.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Designer in development of construction documents for a variety of projects to meet department schedules.
Manages technical components of program – resolution of all disputes/clarifications.
