Role Overview We are seeking a

Head of Robotics & Hardware

to lead robotics engineering, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing/fabrication. This is a hands‑on leadership role with end‑to‑end ownership of next‑generation autonomous ground robotics systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams across robotics, mechanical, and manufacturing

Set technical direction for hardware and robotics development

Architect and deploy autonomous ground robots for real‑world field environments

Partner with Product to translate system requirements into executable plans

Oversee system integration, testing, and field validation

Contribute hands‑on to robotics engineering as needed

Hire and retain top technical talent

Qualifications

7+ years building and commercializing full‑stack robotics systems

BS in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, CS, or related field (MS/PhD preferred)

Strong robotics fundamentals (navigation, localization, control, sensor fusion)

Proficient in C++, Python, or Rust; experience with ROS

Experience leading hardware + software teams through full lifecycle

Proven track record of shipping robotics products

Bonus Experience

Field robotics (AGVs, autonomous vehicles, UAVs)

Embedded systems, real‑time systems, CAN, TCP/UDP

Mechanical design and prototyping experience
