Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing BAS systems integrator based in
Dallas, TX , is seeking an experienced
Lead Systems Engineer
with strong
Distech Controls
expertise to play a pivotal role in their continued growth.
This is a senior, hands-on position suited to a driven professional who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the future of a high-performing controls division.
The Role As Lead Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of complex BAS projects from design through delivery while acting as a technical authority within the business. You’ll be deeply involved in
programming, graphics development , and system optimisation, while also
leading and developing a team
of engineers and supporting the growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the engineering delivery of BAS projects using
Distech Controls
Develop and commission
control logic, programming, and custom graphics
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to systems engineers
Support project standards, best practices, and quality control
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal stakeholders
Assist leadership with
department growth, process improvement, and technical strategy
Act as a technical escalation point and client-facing expert when required
Key Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a
BAS / Controls Systems Engineer
in a leadership capacity
Strong hands-on experience with
Distech Controls
(Other control line experience will be considered for the right candidate)
Expertise in
programming, graphics, and commissioning
Solid understanding of HVAC systems and building automation architecture
Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
Strong communication skills and a proactive, growth-focused mindset
