Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and results‑driven, client & production‑facing Account Manager to join our landscaping business. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Account Manager will manage a portfolio of client accounts, build strong relationships, and drive customer satisfaction. The role will also directly oversee the production Crew Leaders and their teams, scheduling and coordinating job execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of landscaping services that meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

Safety – Create a Zero‑Harm Work Environment: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote safety culture, conduct safety training, investigate incidents and correct actions.

Portfolio Performance: Manage a landscaping maintenance book of business with ~$750,000–1,000,000 ACV; handle client contract lifecycle, evaluate financial performance against budgets, monitor ancillary project costs, and resolve billing issues.

Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, develop trust‑based relationships, align services with client needs, conduct regular meetings and proactive communications, and gather feedback to improve satisfaction.

Ancillary Sales: Meet branch sales targets, propose ancillary services (enhancement, irrigation, tree), estimate costs, create fair priced proposals, review invoices, and stay current on industry trends.

Job Quality: Understand contract expectations, train the team, conduct quality audits, and solve performance issues.

Contract Renewals & Retention: Retain clients, administer satisfaction surveys, notify leadership of relationship challenges, and lead renewal negotiations with price increases.

Production Team Leadership: Promote safety, guide crews, recruit, train, evaluate performance, review site visits, and foster teamwork.

Operations & Labor Capacity Management: Optimize work scheduling, manage time capture systems, improve operations, reduce waste, and implement efficiency strategies.

Materials & Equipment Management: Provide tools, maintain equipment, conduct preventive maintenance, allocate resources, and record usage and costs.

Team Collaboration: Participate in branch meetings, share updates, and promote collaboration across the branch.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required.

2+ years of experience in landscape maintenance or a similar client‑facing role, preferably in distributed services industries.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Solid understanding of landscaping principles, materials, and practices.

Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite.

Strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills.

Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.

Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to customer satisfaction and business growth.
