Journeyman Mobile Broadband Engineer (LTE, 5G)

We invite a dedicated Journeyman Mobile Broadband Engineer (LTE, 5G) to deploy, configure, and optimize mobile broadband systems, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity and interoperability standards while meeting performance, coverage, and latency requirements.
Overview This position will be located at Los Angeles SFB and may require support in austere locations. It is contingent upon a successful contract award to V2X.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design of mobile broadband and cellular-related services across the BAN.
Understand requirements and follow spectrum, antenna, and back‑haul standards.
Ensure integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks by troubleshooting and optimizing capacity.
Install, configure, and perform maintenance on broadband systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues and analyze system performance.
Coordinate with Network Engineers to maximize network capacity.
Test new broadband technologies before deployment.
Document installation, maintenance, and repairs for future reference.
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety procedures.
Materials & Equipment Directly Used
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Broadband system technologies and network protocols.
Working Environment Office environment with potential to support austere locations.
Physical Activities Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.
Qualifications Education / Certifications
Technical BA / BS Degree; or High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent.
CompTIA Security+.
Experience / Skills
5 years with BA / BS Degree; or
Minimum of 7 years with High School Diploma or Associate Degree on large, complex networks.
Clearance Requirement
This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance.
