Client Service Director, Medical & Scientific Communications
Simpson Healthcare, an IQVIA Company, is an established scientific agency and dedicated partner to clients in the life sciences industry for over 20 years. We are actively seeking a Client Service Director to join our growing team within IQVIA in support of both new and ongoing client relationships.
The role focuses on optimizing client relationships, managing projects and client accounts, and ensuring brand alignment across all touchpoints.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Project Management
Manage assigned projects on specific accounts, coordinating digital and interactive content, validating scientific accuracy, and achieving project goals and timelines.
Prepare and deliver client presentations that showcase featured content as directed by clients, internal departments, and Key Opinion Leaders.
Plan long‑term schedules, quality assurance, SOP creation, and budget monitoring for assigned accounts.
Monitor projects to guarantee adherence to client strategy and ensure pull‑through of deliverables.
Supervise and train junior staff, fostering a team approach, managing training, and overseeing project progress.
Attend and contribute to relevant internal meetings.
Enhance customer service through timely, high‑quality communications and deliverables, including thorough hand‑offs to internal project teams.
Adhere to all SOPs and ensure internal team compliance with PIT Crew, Basecamp, CCR, Good to Go, and Weekly client update meetings SOPs.
Maintain working knowledge of managed products and disease areas.
Assist in preparation of client pitches, presentations, and metrics.
Recruit, engage, and manage faculty relationships on behalf of clients.
Client Relations and Management
Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure expectations are met.
Plan, schedule, and organize team members; prepare client update agendas and summaries to facilitate client meetings.
Synthesize client feedback for implementation by the project team.
Collaborate with internal project teams and departments (Scientific Services, Interactive/Graphics, Marketing) to meet client expectations.
Track and report on all opportunities, key milestones, and support requirements.
Brand Management
Establish meaningful, professional relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their roles, communication preferences, motivations, and desired outcomes.
Ensure Simpson’s brand is properly represented and promoted throughout client interactions, communications, and deliverables.
Deliver sustainable service levels that enable efficient, quality product delivery.
Provide data, decisions, and services in support of client, project, and community success.
Position Requirements
3+ years of related experience within the pharmaceutical industry or a healthcare/life sciences‑focused agency.
1+ year(s) of experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare promotional role (preferred).
Experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or Science.
Experience using Veeva (highly preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
Experience with Basecamp or similar project management systems (preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to establish and nurture client and internal relationships.
Strong organization, time management, and project management skills.
Ability to leverage internal and external relationships for project, client, and Simpson benefit.
Persuasive speaking and writing abilities for diverse audiences.
Team player with strong drive and initiative.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Potential base pay range: $61,200.00 – $153,000.00 annualized. Actual base pay may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other compensation may also be offered, along with health and welfare benefits.
