Engineer III . This exempt position is located in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
Develop the overall DevSecOps strategy and perform engineering functions such as developing operational systems concepts, performing system trade studies, originating design concepts, and performing systems‑level test and integration test for highly complex systems.
Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
Integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support.
Plan, organize, troubleshoot, and direct the analysis and resolution of complex process and system problems; manage test scheduling and operations to ensure deadlines are met.
Apply a working knowledge of network architectures, computing systems, communications systems and unique hardware aspects of distributed data communications environments for testing sensors using real‑time networks.
Track project execution to ensure deadlines are met; review system performance and identify technical risks and associated risk mitigation approaches.
Provide technical recommendations to team members and managers; outline and communicate effective technical approaches for systems engineering activities.
Adopt innovative methods or approaches to solve systems engineering technical problems; serve as task lead/manager.
Qualifications
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
Minimum seven (7) years professional experience.
Security+ Certification.
Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefings and serving as task lead/manager.
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
