Responsibilities

Maintain and operate the Company's payroll function, processes, and systems to ensure accurate and timely payment of global employees:

US employees: multi‑state environment; direct the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic payroll transfers via ADP

International employees: various European countries; direct the production and issuance of electronic payroll transfers via ADP or the AP team (countries include but are not limited to Sweden, Germany, France, Czech Republic, UK, and Norway)

Review payroll calculations for non‑exempt and exempt staff, bonus and commission payments, and sick, vacation, holiday, and leave payment calculations

Ensure proper taxation and withholding of all statutory withholdings and voluntary deductions, including the maintenance and execution of import files to internal teams and third‑party vendors

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws (globally, includes the US and Europe), as well as with the company's payroll policies and procedures

Prepare and compile payroll‑related reports and statistics for financial institutions, governments, and HR and accounting departments

Prepare, develop, and issue all required payroll ad‑hoc and year‑end reports including W‑2s and various year‑end files for European payrolls

Partner with Human Resource and Finance departments to ensure efficient company‑wide payroll operations and build processes to support onboarding, change, and off‑boarding

Maintain and supervise the maintenance of payroll records and databases to ensure efficient responses to all payroll‑related requests

Interface with individuals, departments, and agencies to answer questions, resolve issues, provide required reports, and obtain and share information related to payroll or payroll procedures

Act as a liaison between the company and ADP to ensure the quality of service and proactively manage issues and processes

Ensure data feeds between ADP and third‑party vendors are accurate for reporting and compliance; execute various secure data feeds to off‑site benefits and third‑party administration vendors for 401(k) and other benefit providers

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a corporate payroll department within a medium‑size company with multi‑state and preferably global locations

Subject‑matter expertise and in‑depth knowledge of multi‑jurisdictional and multi‑state payrolls as well as knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws, employee benefit plans, and payroll taxes

Must be able to handle all aspects of work with a high degree of autonomy and confidentiality

Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills

Must be able to multi‑task multiple projects, work well under pressure, and excel in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment

Advanced skills with ADP, Excel, GSuite
