Role Responsibilities
Lead strategic direction, product management, and AI‑driven innovation for Pfizer’s Targets and Mechanisms platforms and systems.
Oversee a global team responsible for delivering scalable, sustainable, and science‑centric solutions that power research execution across Pfizer and external partners.
Drive strategic planning for platforms and systems, integrating advanced technologies including AI, data pipelines, and predictive analytics to enhance efficiency and decision‑making.
Collaborate with Digital & Technology peers and R&D stakeholder teams to deliver technical services including ecosystem architecture, quality, analytics, and data management.
Vision & Strategy
Define and own the vision and strategy for digital Targets & Mechanisms Solutions capabilities, with a focus on AI innovation and development of product capability roadmaps.
Define and own the ecosystem architecture, crafting a modular, interoperable digital ecosystem that integrates scientific data products, metadata frameworks, and platform interoperability across systems.
Anticipate technology trends, prioritizing investments that provide a competitive advantage and align with new practices within the research domain.
Collaborate across Digital & Technology and business areas to select, pilot, and scale emerging innovations and technologies that drive research strategy forward.
Strategic Leadership
Establish and mature a strategic product and platform operating model to drive scalable innovation.
Operationalize emerging technologies through robust governance frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Design and lead a strategic vendor framework to manage high‑impact partnerships with critical vendors, ensuring measurable quality delivery and support.
Launch and scale AI programs to embed AI into core workflows and build process mining capabilities.
Program Delivery Leadership
Accountable for global Digital & Technology program delivery, overseeing technology implementation across all supporting areas and managing business case and financials.
Lead delivery of global, enterprise, SaaS solutions and custom software development solutions.
Manage delivery management and engineering leadership, ensuring adherence to Agile, Waterfall, and DevSecOps practices.
Oversee financial responsibilities including forecasting, budgeting, supplier partnerships, and earned value monitoring.
Ensure GxP solutions are audit‑ and inspection‑ready, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership
Recognize and influence continuous improvement and innovation within the team and organization.
Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of innovation, diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Cultivate expertise and champion learning, reskilling, and talent growth across Digital and Pfizer.
Strategic Relationships
Cultivate strong partnerships with research leaders and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
Build cross‑functional relationships to ensure alignment and shared ownership of impactful research solutions.
Foster collaboration between research and Digital & Technology innovation teams to accelerate solution delivery.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years life sciences experience or equivalent experience leading platforms and large‑scale systems.
10+ years of experience in a leadership capacity with increasing scope of responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement high impact strategic plans in a large, matrixed global organization.
Experience delivering technology solutions in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment, managing large scale enterprise software implementations.
Strong leadership and talent development skills, including succession planning and fostering diverse leadership.
Data‑centric, innovative, business‑minded technology leadership with experience managing large‑scale scientific and clinical data.
Experience leading product management teams with accountability for strategy, execution, and cross‑functional alignment.
Ability to communicate and influence at senior leadership level.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Management.
15+ years of advanced degree experience with progressive leadership growth.
Experience building and scaling product management discipline within an organization.
Experience in pharmaceutical clinical development.
Hands‑on experience with software engineering or coding.
Experience with ‘omics analysis.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and Agile Certification.
Non‑Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements
Limited expectations for travel; capable of traveling within and across regions.
Role may require physical or virtual participation during weekends, holidays, or after normal business hours.

Salary and Compensation
The annual base salary ranges from $204,700.00 to $341,100.00. Eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and a share‑based long‑term incentive program. Benefits include 401(k) with matching contributions, paid vacation, holidays, parental leave, and health, dental, and vision coverage.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.
